COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS, 2022-2023

• Exception: Per LADPH guidelines, masking will be required of students, faculty, and staff when returning to campus after a case of COVID-19. Individuals will need to wear a mask for ten days—both indoors and outdoors, except while eating or drinking—after their isolation period ends.
   
• Everyone at Westmark is welcome to wear a mask on campus. Just as we celebrate and support each other’s unique learning styles, let’s remember to respect others' personal preference to continue using face coverings.
   

All Westmark School students are required to obtain full COVID-19 vaccination and provide proof of vaccination to the School. Please refer to your Registration and Enrollment Agreement.
 

• Visit myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov.

• You will receive a text message or an email with your student's digital vaccination record. Take a screenshot of the record and email it to Stephanie Salinas, School Nurse (ssalinas@cnreh.com).

• Enter your student's first name, last name, and date of birth, then enter the mobile phone number or email associated with your student's vaccination.

• Create a 4-digit PIN, check the box acknowledging the necessary declarations, and click "Submit."

All Westmark faculty and staff must also show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster.

Westmark strongly encourages everyone in the community to take a COVID-19 PCR and/or rapid test if you are experiencing COVID symptoms or have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive.

My student tested positive for COVID-19. What should I do?

• Immediately report the test result to Stephanie Salinas, School Nurse (ssalinas@cnreh.com).

My student is considered a “close contact.” What does that mean? Should I get my child tested?

• A person is considered a “close contact” if they have been exposed to a case during the infectious period and at least one of the following criteria are met:

  • Being within 6 feet of the infected person for 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period

  • Unmasked exposure

• Students with an exposure should test for COVID-19 and report the test results to Stephanie Salinas, School Nurse (ssalinas@cnreh.com), immediately.

• Close contacts are allowed on campus as long as they are not showing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 and have not received a positive result from a COVID rapid test.
